McEwan Partners is pleased to welcome articling student Alyshia Lan-Phavongkham to the firm.
Alyshia received her J.D. from the University of Victoria in 2025 after completing her final year in the Netherlands, where she studied in the Faculty of Law at Utrecht University. During her J.D., Alyshia volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and as an editor for The APPEAL Law Journal.
Alyshia completed two co-op placements during her J.D. Her first placement was with the Department of Justice, where she drafted materials for immigration judicial review matters. Her second placement was with the Ministry of Attorney General, where she oversaw numerous Small Claims and Civil Forfeiture files and had the opportunity to present some matters in court.
