Biography

Mila has a broad litigation practice with experience in regulatory, commercial, insolvency, and construction matters. She articled at an international law firm in Vancouver and has assisted clients in cases involving class actions, contract disputes, regulatory disputes, negligence, receiverships, debt enforcement, and more. While articling, Mila appeared with counsel before the BC Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and Provincial Court.

Prior to articling, Mila attended law school at the University of British Columbia. She was involved with the UBC Innocence Project and won awards in the Peter Burns Trial Advocacy and MacIntyre moots. Throughout law school, Mila worked as a teaching assistant for UBC’s First Year Contracts class and assisted professors with research on contract theory, sports law, and labour law.

Mila has an academic background in philosophy and political theory and was heavily involved in these fields at McGill University as a researcher, teaching assistant, and student fellow in the Research Group on Constitutional Studies.
