Biography
Mila has a broad litigation practice handling commercial, bankruptcy/insolvency, professional misconduct, and public law matters. She has worked as junior counsel before all levels of court in British Columbia and continues to develop her advocacy skills.
Before joining McEwan Partners, Mila articled at a predominant international law firm. While attending law school at the University of British Columbia, Mila worked as a teaching assistant for UBC’s 1L Contracts class and a research assistant for two professors. She has assisted with the publication of academic legal papers on unconscionable and unfair contracts, sports law, and migrant labour laws.
Mila has an academic background in political theory and philosophy and was a Fellow in McGill’s Research Group on Constitutional Studies from 2016-2018. During this time, she gained experience in writing, teaching, and speaking while developing a passion for legal theory prior to law school.
