We are pleased to announce that Jason Roberts became a partner at McEwan Partners effective July 1, 2025.
Jason joined the firm as an experienced litigation associate in early 2024. Focusing on commercial litigation, he has a particular interest in securities law matters, including cryptocurrency regulation. He is also an active member of The Advocates’ Society and is part of the executive of the Securities Litigation Practice Group.
In addition to holding an LLM in securities law (Osgoode), Jason clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada (for the late Justice LeBel) and the Manitoba Court of Appeal. He leverages litigation and dispute resolution experience gained during his time at a large international law firm and a preeminent Winnipeg law firm.
When he joined the firm, Jason was already a seasoned litigator with 10 years of trial experience, including as lead counsel at all levels of court in Manitoba. He continues to be a member of the law societies in both provinces.
Over the past year, Jason has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in British Columbia, and continues to give back through his role as a member of the Pancreatic Cancer North America Board Advisory Committee.
Jason is also fully bilingual in English and French and assists clients in both languages.
