Chapman v. Chapman, 2024 BCCA 372

Ken McEwan and Mila Ghorayeb successfully defended an appeal in this high-conflict family law proceeding.  The appeal raised issues including, among others, the jurisdictional basis and scope of variation of orders respecting division of property under the Family Law Act and the respondent’s entitlement to special costs of the trial. The Court also awarded the respondent her ordinary costs, recognizing her as the substantially successful party.
