Court of Appeal hands down decision in important municipal law case. The BC Court of Appeal has issued reasons dismissing an appeal by a citizens’ group concerning the manner in which the City makes zoning decisions and notifies impacted residents about changes to zoning in their neighbourhoods:  Caring Citizens of Vancouver Society v. Vancouver (City), 2018 BCCA 87.  The appeal raised important issues of zoning law and statutory interpretation. Ken McEwan, K.C. and Eileen Patel represented the Citizens’ group on the expedited appeal regarding the erection of temporary modular housing in Marpole.
