Arden Beddoes and Ariyana Dhawan will be presenting at the upcoming CLEBC course “A Litigator’s Arsenal 2025” on June 9. Their presentation will be titled “Pleadings Dos and Don’ts: The Court of Appeal’s Decision in Mercantile Office Systems Private Limited v. Worldwide Warranty Life Services Inc.” and will review the current state of the law concerning pleadings as set out in that decision. The session will review how courts have applied the principles arising from the Mercantile decision, and provide practical tips for practitioners when drafting pleadings.
