As part of our merger with Sean Hern Law on May 1st, McEwan Partners welcomes Merran Hergert to the firm as an Associate with a distinguished background in intergovernmental relations.
Merran maintains a general civil litigation practice with a focus on public law. She has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia and in front of various administrative tribunals.
Before becoming a lawyer, Merran worked in the field of intergovernmental relations, and her interest in the public law dimensions of that work motivated her to attend law school. During law school, Merran acted as a research assistant for two constitutional law scholars.
Merran completed her articles with the now Honourable Justice Latimer, focusing on administrative, constitutional, and criminal law. She went on to clerk at the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
