Ken McEwan, K.C. elected first Canadian President of the International Society of Barristers

The International Society of Barristers elected Ken McEwan, K.C. its first Canadian president at its recent board meeting. The ISOB is a United States based organization created in 1965 and is dedicated to preserving trial by jury, the adversary system and an independent judiciary. Its founders conceived the organization to bring together the best of the trial bar in a setting devoid of partisan interests. Membership in the ISOB is by nomination only, and admission after a rigorous review by peers and judges in the fellow’s jurisdiction. The ISOB web-site may be found here.
